Update!

Hey there Kyle's followers!  For those of you who are just as heart broken as I am, that Kyle lost his family there is a way you can help!  I have a puzzle fundraiser going on right now.  So far 5 pieces have been bought and there are still 19 pieces left!  When you donate $5 to the Chip-in that is on the right side bar, you get your name written on the back of a puzzle piece.  Once the puzzle is finished I will save the puzzle and mail it to his Forever Family!  :)  So not only do you help Kyle, but his parents will always know who loved Kyle before they found him!  So 19 pieces up for grabs, $5 and your name is on a piece!  It's quick and easy, but will make a HUGE difference! I will post updated photos of the puzzle as we go along so that you all can see the progress! :)

Thanks in advanced to everyone that loves Kyle just as much as me!

Dear Kyle,

This is the post I never thought I would have to write.  My heart is broken, for you and the family who was trying hard to bring you home.  Sweet boy, you lost your family.  I'm speechless, and heart broken   I'm not sure what to say, but what I do know is that I still love you and will fight for you until you are HOME.  I had a bad feeling when I prayed continuously for God to lay a child on my heart that I could warrior for and He never did.  I didn't think this would happen, but I guess it's all a part of Gods plan for your life.   Sometime this coming week I will go buy another puzzle, so we can finish the puzzle fundraiser.  I love you a lot, little man.  Sissy, will ALWAYS be here regardless of the out come.

Dear Kyle,

Hey there little man,

So come to find out, tonight I grab the box that was supposed to have your puzzle in it, and it had 6 pieces in it.  The other 18 pieces?  I have no clue where they are at, so in other words I think my 2 year old little brother got a hold of it.  Tomorrow (Or sometime this week.)  I will have to go buy another puzzle right peoples names on the backs.  This was a bit upsetting, but yet not at the same time considering YOU HAVE A FAMILY!!  Oh gosh saying that will NEVER get old! :)   But most of all I just wanted to let you know that I've been thinking about you all day,  I love you a lot sweet boy!  Can't wait to meet your mommy and daddy! :)

Dear Kyle,

Hey there little buddy :)
I'm sorry that I haven't written to you in a few weeks.  Things have been crazy but I'm gonna try to get back to doing it everyday or so!  Lets see, what updates do I have.  Your puzzle fund-raiser is at $45 dollars!  Which is amazing  there are still 19 pieces up for grabs, so lets hope people buy those pieces! Umm your grant fund is $5481.70 it's growing each day!  Ya know Kyle, I really love it when your grant fund grows because it shows me that other people love you too!  I mean it's really hard not to love you, with your big brown eyes, & soft face. You would make a fantastic son.  I only wish your parents would find you! :)  I know they will in Gods perfect timing, but sometimes it's hard to wait.

Well little man I love you bigger then the universe!  Praying that your care taker has a change in heart today & shows you some love!

Love your big sissy,
Alyssa

Update!

I'm super sorry for being really terrible at updating & advocating the puzzle fundraiser for Kyle!  Life has been super crazy recently, My mom was in the hospital & I had to help watch my 6 younger brothers so!

Lets see there are still 19 pieces up for grabs!  For just a $5 donation or more you will get your name written on the back of a puzzle piece.  Once all of the puzzle pieces have been bought & the puzzle is complete, I will hang onto it & give it to Kyle's family once they find him!  I think this is a great way to raise money & make memories.  So who wants to buy the next piece?   The "Chip-In" on the right side bar is where you will donate the money.  It's labeled "Fund-raiser 4 Kyle"

Thank you so much for those of you who have bought puzzle pieces so far!

God Bless,
Alyssa

Fund-raiser For Kyle!

Okay, so I got really excited about being able to help Kyle & raise his fund. So instead of waiting till tomorrow to get a puzzle I had my big brother take me to get one this evening!  You are probably wondering "How is a puzzle going to help Kyle?" Well, let me tell you!  For a donation of $5 or more to the "Chip-In" on the right side of the page you will "Buy" a puzzle piece!  Your name will be written on the back of the puzzle piece.  Then once all of the pieces are bought & the puzzle is all put together I will donate the money raised to Kyle's Grant fund!  I will keep the puzzle until Kyle's forever family finds him, then I will mail it to them!  It will something very special for them, because they will be able to see who all loved Kyle before they found him!  So who is ready to build a puzzle?  I will take pictures of the puzzles progress as the pieces get "Bought".   The puzzle is 24 pieces.  So I will keep you up to date as to how many pieces are left.  I didn't get a huge puzzle because I wasn't sure how well it would work so!  Praying God blesses Kyle & his future family through this!  Here is the puzzle we will be building for Kyle!

NOTE: When you donate this money to the "Chip-In" donate it as a gift so that fees are not taken out! :)

Dear Kyle,
You have no clue how in love I am with you.  I'm trying my hardest to find your family & raise your fund.
Love, your big sissy, Alyssa.

Expanding

So I have felt recently that God wants me to better advocate for Kyle.  Going further then my Facebook and Twitter, and expanding my people outreach group.  So I've been thinking about how to do this.  I decided to email two of my all time favorite music artists.  Jamie Grace, & Francesca Battistelli.   They are my daily inspiration, Francesca's song "Motions Of Mercy" reminds me to Love until it hurts.  Jamie Grace's song "You Lead" reminds me that no matter how hard this "Game" of follow the leader gets, to trust God.  Cause He is the absolute BEST leader I could EVER have!   So pray with me friends, if it's Gods will one of both of them will email back.  I didn't have direct emails for them, so I emailed their General Managers.  Lets hope I hear back from them soon!

Don't worry Kyle, I'm trying my hardest to find mommy & daddy! I love you Mr.Monkey <3

I promise you I wont let you waste away feeling unwanted.  Kyle, you are wanted by me.  & I know God has the perfect family out their to love you for years to come.  If only I could assure you of this. :/

Lots of love, from your big sissy.

Kyle's Warrior

Okay so Kyle's, birthday is in October.  I would love for this to be his last birthday with out a family.  I'm going to share his face everywhere I can till his family if found!  So in this process of finding Kyle's, family I am going to hold an auction.  All of the money raised from that auction will go into Kyle's grant.  I want him to have a huge grant considering the region where Kyle lives requires 4 trips, which will make it expensive! I am in need of items to auction off.  I also would like to partner with some small business owners, who would be willing to donate an item every month or every other month, to a giveaway that I will hold for Kyle.  So anyone who would like to partner with me please email me @ AlyssaGoodhue@hotmail.com.    I would really love to do something big for Kyle!   When his family finds him they will know he was loved before they found him.  So join me & be a part of Kyle's life.  I will leave you with an extremely adorable baby picture of Kyle!  P.S.  Remember!  Kyle has already been transferred to an adult mental institution!  Every second is critical!  He needs a family fast!

I love you Mr.monkey!  Mommy & daddy will find you soon!
God Bless,
Alyssa

Love My Boo

My Boo,  I just love him! Are you his mommy & daddy?

He Is Waiting

I was thinking about it and wondering how on earth will I find Kyle's forever family?  He has been waiting 7 years & they still haven't come, will they come? In my mind it is seeming impossible, just because my blog isn't that popular and I don't have a huge amount of friends on Facebook, who aren't already aware of Kyle's need.  So how will I get the word out?  I am stumped, but I will not let my self get discouraged.  Kyle needs a family of his own to love him for years to come.  Kyle's family?  I love this boy a lot and I know God made Kyle my mission for a reason.  I know you guys are out there, and I also know your son is waiting for you.  Kyle needs you guys.   I'm praying God sends you soon... <3

I love you Baby Boo,  you family will come save you.  I promise.

Love, Alyssa

Introducing Kyle

I would like you all to meet my newest star Kyle.  Kyle has been listed on Reece's Rainbow for years now, I am more then slightly confused as to why he hasn't found his family yet!  He has the biggest sweetest brown eyes, and is a small boy.  He has captured my heart, with his sweet face.  Kyle is a boy with Down syndrome who is in urgent need of a forever family.  Recently we found out that Kyle, was transferred to an adult mental institution.  If Kyles, family is not found soon, he will regress, & there is even a chance of him dying.  There is a major need of a family for my Kyle.  Meet Kyle.

Adorable right?  I have been praying that God would send me a new mission child seeing as sweet Keith is now home safe & sound with his new family.  Since I don't have to find a family for Keith anymore (Seeing as how he already has one.) I have needed a new focus point.  I have a thing for brown haired, brown eyed boys.  Keith has brown hair & eyes, and that is just part of the reason I fell in love with him.  Keith was in "The Bad Place" and so that made my heart break & my protective sister instinct came out & I just had to save him.  Although Kyle is not in "The Bad Place"  He is still in an adult mental institution & is still in urgent need of a family before he regress' to much, & has no hope.  As it stand right now he has very little hope.  Kyle needs a voice, better yet he needs a family.  But he wont get that family if he doesn't have a prayer warrior & a voice.   So as I add him to my prayer journal & advocate for him, I need you to partner beside me & share his face & urgent need.   Kyle's family?  I know you are out there & maybe you already know that Kyle is yours, but if you don't I want to let you know that he is yours.  This boy has been waiting 7 years to have you as his family.  Save him please, make his time in this institute limited!  Give him hope!

I love you Kyle, I know your mommy & daddy are out there and they are coming to get you even if they don't know it yet!

Reminders Are Nice

Today as I reflect back on the 10 months that I have prayed, shared, love, seen pictures, heard the official announcement, and witnessed "Gotchya Day" I am reminded what great joy comes at the end of advocating for a child.  I advocated for Keith for a few months and then his family found him.  I was right there beside them through pretty much the entire journey.  You want to know what I wake up to this morning?

This sweet picture of Keith leaving his orphanage in his momma arms.  He will never ever have to see that place ever again.  He will now be loved and cherished for years to come!  :)  Same with Aleshia who also had her "Gotchya Day" today.  Here is a sweet picture of her and her momma.

Keith and Aleshia, will hang out and cuddle with Mrs.Unroe (Their new momma!) for a few more days and pick up the other 3 Unroes who will be having "Gotchya Days" This week.  Then all 5 Unroes and momma are HOME bound! :)  It's amazing what God can do and the amazing ways He can use us.  These 5 kids will be Orphans no more & they are also great reminders to me as to why it's SO important to advocate for these kids! :)   They need us to be their voices since they can't cry out for themselves!  So Miss Olive, it's your turn.  Your momma will come next, to save you!  Your voice I shall be until you have your Gotchya Day!  I love you sweet girl and cannot wait to see you in the arms of your momma and papa!

Now I will leave you with an adorable picture of Olive :)

God Bless,
Alyssa

Dear Sunshine,

Dear sunshine,
When I look at your picture I see a little girl with great potential that will accomplish great things.  A little girl that is curious and doesn't let the boundaries of baby gates, keep her confined to a small place.  I see a little girl that would be caught on the dinning room table giggling with a look of accomplishment on her face. A daring girl that will get into cupboards and drawers that are filled with things that babies shouldn't mess with.  I see a sweet girl in need of a family to let her accomplish great things.  When I think of you the only picture in my mind is you sitting on the dinning room table with a HUGE cheesy smile on your face.  Honestly it makes me giggle. :)   God has the absolute perfect family for you my sunshine baby!  He has the perfect time that they will come to you.  Not a minute to early or a second to late.  But at the time that God sees fit! :)

Love, your big sissy, Alyssa.

P.S.
I wont stop searching till you have the perfect family!

Meet Olive :)

I need a focus point when establishing tasks.  Well in this case I need a child that can be the main focus of my blogging, and don't get me wrong I love all of "My" heart babies.  But something about Olive caught my eye.  She is so sweet, innocent, and she seems so curious.  A stroller and crib is no place for a sweet girl like Olive.  She needs a wonderful loving family so she can shine to her full potential.  Too cute right?  I just love everything about her!  Her nose, eyes, lips, fingers, she is just a bundle of cuteness! She also needs a warrior.  I have signed myself up to be that warrior, until her "Gotchya Day!" I want to be a part of her story. :) She reminds me of a friends daughter, who's name is Olivia!  Olivia and Olive could be twins they look so much alike! The only difference between the two girls is Olivia already had her "Gotchya Day!" and is home safe & sound with her new family!  I would love to get Olive to that point in her life! Can we get Olive a family?  With God anything is possible.  So join with me as I try my best to get Olive a Forever Family, lets be Olives light and show her parents where she is!  Olive is Saying "Mommy, Daddy I'm waiting for you!  Yes, the cute girl right here! Come get me!"  Lets help her parents hear her call!

We are Olives hope, one of the very few chances that she has to find a family!  So lets not let this chance slip away!  Mommy & Daddy are coming Olive!  I will find them and send them to you! :)   I love you Baby Liv!

Thoughtful Thursday:Maya

As some of you may know Maya (My heart Daughter) is fighting cancer.  She is 7 months old.

Mommy loves you sweet girl <3

No Place For A Little Girl

I really don't even know how to start this post. Another sweet girl that I have heard about so often.  Facing a horrible fate. Kanani will be (If she hasn't already) transferred to an adult mental institute.  The orphanage where she is located all of the kids get transferred once they turn 4.  Kanani turned 4 in April.  It is now July, it's been 3 months since she turned 4.  A mental institute is NO place for a sweet girl like Kanani.

Anonymous donors have offered a matching grant for Kanani up to $1000!  This means your $5 gets turned into $10.  Your $20? into $40!  What a great opportunity this is for YOU to bless someone & help save a life!  Kanani needs us to be her voice!  Once she is transferred her fate is terrible!  So Please, please, PLEASE!  Pray, shout donate, even consider adopting sweet Kanani!  Please join us and be her voice!  My friend Joanna is so in love with Kanani, and does not want this to be Kanani's fate!  Lets help Joanna find Kanani's family!

So go to Kanani's profile located HERE----> http://reecesrainbow.org/40592/kanani
and donate, hopefully Kanani's family will see us screaming & realize that Kanani is their daughter!

Remember!  All donations to Kanani's grant will be matched!  This offer goes until Labor day!

Meet Deandra!

Typically I would post children that are waiting for families overseas.  Well tonight I have something a little different for you guys.  This 13 year old girl named Deandra is waiting in Texas.  She is here in country and needs a forever family.  Not only is she GORGEOUS, but she sounds like she would make a fantastic addition to any family!  She would be a wonderful big sister, daughter & friend!

Meet Deandra!

Here is what her profile says about her.

"DeAndra is a youth who tends to remain shy and quiet. She is very sweet and smiles a lot. DeAndra likes to be helpful around the house and also towards her siblings. She remains active and likes to be outdoors playing basketball or riding her bike. DeAndra is a big fan of animals of any kind!

DeAndra attends school and does well. She receives supportive services in the school setting to help her stay on task and remain focused. DeAndra is working on positive outlets for her emotions. She is also working on accepting consequences that are given to her and taking responsibility for her actions. DeAndra is working through past experiences and is making great progress."

Doesn't she sounds splendid?  If my family were in a place to adopt I would love to add her to the Goodhue fam!  Please consider Deandra!

Miss Beatrice!

There is a new baby listed on Reece's Rainbow!   Her name is Beatrice & man is she adorable! This cutie could really use a family so she can shine to her full potential.

Meet Beatrice!

Miss Beatrice, has no nose, no eyes & a heart problem.  I think she is just as cute as a button! It looks like she has arm restraints on, I'm not sure what for.  Her heart problem is an Open oval window.  I love her chunky legs & spikey hair.  I think it's absolutely adorable! :)  Beatrice would do wonderful in a family & early intervention is the best!  To learn more about Beatrice visit her profile here: http://reecesrainbow.org/41025/beatrice

Please consider Beatrice!

Teamwork Tuesday & A Birthday Celebration

So I have never done a Teamwork Tuesday post before, but I have been meaning to try it!  So the main of idea of the Teamwork Tuesdays to make a post about the child of that Tuesday every week!  "The team" has a special calender type thing that has children listed on it for each Tuesday!  So today's child is Brent

On June 21st, 2005 a little boy was born.  Little did this baby know that he would be "Diagnosed" with Down syndrome & sent to an orphanage where this thing we call love would not be shown to him.

Brent lived in this orphanage for 3 years, became familiar with his nannies and other children in his group.  This is what Brent knew as normal, was this lonely, orphanage.  At age 3 Brent's time ran out at the "Baby House" now everything was going to change, there would be no familiar faces, people, or food.  Everything he once knew as normal was now gone.  Brent was transferred to an adult mental institute.  Which is no place for a sweet baby like Brent.  They shaved his head & he spends his days in a crib.  He is blessed to be part of a program where he gets some one-on-one stimulation.

I find it absolutely encouraging to see this 7 year old boy that has never know any love....SMILING!!  Brent is smiling!  Do you see this happy little grin on his face?   Brent has found some reason to smile when his fate has been decided for him.  When his tomorrow looks just like yesterday & the day before.  But guess what? His tomorrow could be changed by YOU! :)  You can make his future bright & full of adventure & new things!  Please consider Brent!  He needs a family to love on him!

Visit Brent's profile here: http://reecesrainbow.org/831/brent

Birthday Celebration

I would like to wish a very happy & special birth-month to Baby A,  Sometime this month she turns 5!  We aren't sure what day, so we will just celebrate HER this whole entire month!  This will be her LAST birthday in an institute!   So Happy Birth-month to a sweet girl named Anastasia, who is 5 years old & will soon be an orphan no more!  Baby A, your family is working hard to come and bring you HOME. :)

We love you Baby A! :)

Prayers Needed!

Excuse the half edited blog.  I'm in the middle of giving it a "Face lift".  Do you all remember my Angle Tree Baby from last Christmas?  Anastasia?  Yes, the cute blonde one! Well I went to her moms blog just now to see of any updates about the adoption.  Well there was an update. But not the kind of update I was looking for.  Last night they got some updated news as to where Baby A is at.  In the area that she lives, the kids are transferred from the baby house to an institute the month that they turn 4.  Baby A is almost 5!  This means she has been living probably bed ridden & confined to a crib for nearly a whole year!   Like I said, NOT the update I was looking for!  So Please, Please, Please keep Baby A & the Thomas family in your prayers!  Pray that the process goes by SUPER fast so this family can get to their sweet girl!  Pray that this isn't as bad as we think it is.  Pray that God will soften the workers hearts over there, and give them the urge to show Baby A LOVE.  Just pray please!

Baby "A" Anastasia

Yet Again...

Yana just turned 1 and is the sweetest little girl.  She has had 2 families commit to adopting her both of them were not able to follow through with the adoptions.  Yana is up for adoption...Yet again.

She needs someone to be her family.  The requirements in her Region are pretty strict, but just remember what you get after all of the paperwork & time.  A sweet little girl waits to be loved.

I have been in love with her sweet face since she was listed almost a year ago.  She has been waiting since she was born to have a family that will love her.  I'm thankful for the 2 families that have previously tried to bring her home.

God has a plan, God also has the perfect family for Yana. In Gods timing He will bring her the perfect family to love her forever & ever.  Here is a link to her Reece's Rainbow profile: http://reecesrainbow.org/21348/yana-2h

She has $587.50 towards the cost of her adoption.  Can we make that number grow?

Alyssa

Waiting Children

Penny, Payton,Marsha, Beacan, Gemma are very malnourished, and small for their ages.

Payton, is almost 8 years old and weighs just 27 pounds.

Marsha, is 3 years old and is in urgent need of medical care.

Penny, is 11 years old and weighs under 20 pounds.

Gemma, is 5 years old and weighs 18 pounds.

Beacan, is 11 years old and weighs 23 pounds.

It is truly stomach wrenching to see the ages of these kids followed by their weight.  It's hard to fathom these kids living this way.   I'm confused as to why anyone would even let a child live like this.  It was a true surprise to me when I went  to grab Beacan's picture, I started reading his Diagnosis and was shocked by his weight as well as his age.  He does not look any older then maybe 16 month old baby.

The conditions in which these children live are HORRENDOUS.  I can not express how urgent the need is for theses kids, they are left lying in crib day in and day out.  They never get loved on or talked to.  Kids that live in these conditions lack so many things, from developmental things to medical care.  They get pretty much no medical care at all.  Sweet Marsha has hydrocephalus (Fluid around the brain)  that is untreated at this time.  Marsha needs a shunt to drain the fluid, without a shunt it is VERY painful.  This condition is also affecting her eye sight.   I talked to a mom recently who's son has hydrocephalus.   Her son has a shunt and is a normal little boy with lots of energy and laughter.  Marsha could be that way to but she needs medical care that she will only be able to get here in the US.

I encourage you to take a look at these "Little ones" profiles.  They need you more then you know.

God Bless,
Alyssa

Dear Dayna,

Hi there sweet girl!
Just a few days ago I got video of you from March 15th, 2012!  I can't even explain how happy I was to see that video of you!  You most certainly are a spunky little girl full of smiles & laughter.  I was able to pull some pictures out of the video.  All I can say is that you are the most adorable little girl, that I have seen!  So here are the new pictures that I have of you!

Cute right?  I'm more then slightly confused as to how you don't have a family yet!  I mean trust me, if my family was in the position to adopt you would become a Goodhue in an instant!  You would fit in to well!  You have the URGENT need of heart surgery, on your profile it says you haven't been feeling well.  But from the video & the pictures it looks to me like you are not letting that phase you even in the slightest.   I sure hope someone steps forward soon, to claim you as their daughter.  Your family is out there sweet girl!  I just know it!  I'm praying so hard for you.
